Daily Christian Audio Devotionals

A Christian devotional is short (brief) writing, audio, or video track about a topic, story, inspiration, or teaching related to the Christian faith and living spiritual life.

Devotionals are often comprised of Bible verses, and due to their brief essence are not presented or produced to impose in depth theological messages; but to provide a single message of encouragement; enrichment to evoke challenging and inspiring thoughts and actions. Many devotional messages contain illustrations from everyday life; relatable to Christian living.

“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you” Philippians 4:8-9.

Christian Devotional Use and Application

Why would you want to use a Christian devotional? What might the devotional do, and how might you apply its message?

Christians use their devotionals as a way to come closer to God and to learn more about the Christian life from a biblical perspective. Devotional books, audios, videos, are not necessarily rendered to be consumed in one session; but rather they are produced for you to read, listened to, or be viewed in short bites every day and then meditated (prayed) upon to receive the full intended meaning of the passage or message. Through fervent and regular prayer sessions, Christians will begin to develop a closer and more intimate relationship with God.

“Never stop praying” 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you” James 4:8.

Christian devotionals such as the Christian audio devotional message I produce daily (Your Daily Word); deliver to the listener, biblical passages combined with prayer, and should become a staple for all individuals desiring to forge a better understanding as to how to apply God’s ordained principles for daily life.
