Unfortunately, most Christians, according to the Barna Research Group talk about loving Jesus, but then never take their implied faith to the next level. For instance, those who profess to love Christ spend a minimal amount of time and resource to grow His kingdom. They would rather “play” on Facebook with the objective of boosting self, rather than exalting God.

Most self-proclaimed Christians do not even attend a local church. So how do they passionately praise God’s glorious grace per His specific instructions as found in His Holy Bible (Hebrews 10:25)? This is precisely why we have developed and now manage an all-new, online Christian church community. It is time for those who claim to love Christ to finally make a meaningful, life-changing commitment to serve Him above self. Will we be “lukewarm” or will we obediently seek God first? Will we choose to watch secular television and read secular books while we secularly serve ourselves, or will we lovingly choose Christ above all else, including self? It is high-time that we as Christians unite for the wonderful glory of God. The devil would love nothing more than to make you feel that it is perfecty fine to put off service until tomorrow, but Jesus has already given His life for us; what are we waiting for?

The power of Internet is just the vehicle to help make it happen.

Are you one of the 500 million members of Facebook? Maybe you have signed up but are not one of the 45.3 million active users. Perhaps you believe it is a waste of time, or that you have nothing to say which will benefit or interest anyone else. Why, you wonder, would anyone choose to spend their valuable, limited time on any social network site?

With the estimated value of Facebook topping 30 billion dollars, one can conclude that there must be some worth to these sites. The use of social networking may be a modern day phenomena, but plenty of people are engaging. Studies indicate that total minutes spent on social networking sites has increased 83 percent year-to-year. The fact is people continue to gravitate in droves towards social networking and blog sites, spending more and more time interacting with others. Never before in history have we had the opportunity to interact, or impact, the world on such a global scale. The question is, what do we do with these sites to really make a difference.

As popular as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, along with a myriad of other social networking sites are, they are secular. They may provide a wonderful and convenient platform to reconnect with long lost school classmates or post photographs for Grandma, but these sites have also been used to lure victims into dangerous situations. Many believe that the internet is nothing more than a playground for Satan and with the amount of trash out there, it may be hard to argue this point. But maybe we should decide that it is time to use this amazingly powerful tool for a more meaningful purpose.

It is high-time that we, as Christians, level the online playing field. By purposefully aligning together, we can share the glorious news about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are commanded by Christ Himself to “go and make disciples of every nation” (Matthew 28:19). By the power of God’s Holy Spirit, it is my prayer that we do our part to make a difference for God, saving and training (discipling) another one for Jesus.

19 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

People generally have a need for human connection - the need to be loved and/or be recognized. Social media tools like Facebook allow for that to happen on a magnified scale. God created each and every person to be a unique individual. He has given us special gifts and talents to be used for His kingdom and His glory. We all have a story. The twists and turns of life and each circumstance we endure is an opportunity to learn more about God and His will and purpose for our lives.

Your story can be used to encourage and support those experiencing similar trials in their own lives strengthening their spiritual path of growth. Online platforms provide a way to connect with those who may be in a whole different part of the world yet can become a new best friend whom you would never otherwise have had the opportunity to meet. It provides a way to shine the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14-15). We are exposed to others whose stories touch our lives in ways never before possible.

14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” (Matthew 5:14-15).

Christian Disciple Fellowship is basically the Facebook for the Christian community. It is a tool to positively influence people’s lives with the word and love of Jesus Christ by connecting with fellow believers, building relationships and encouraging all towards a closer and more meaningful love and understanding of Gods glorious grace. I would encourage you to join Christian Disciple Fellowship and make your voice heard.

Jesus Christ gave a commission to the church that has not changed over the course of history: “Go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). It is one of the most important objectives of the church. In fact, the program of the local church is incomplete without a designated plan for outreach, and more specifically, a significant plan for training new believers in becoming fully committed disciples of Christ.

Most churches are long overdue in teaching the discipleship precept as “commanded” by Jesus Himself. As Christian leadership, we must lead every new follower of our Lord Jesus Christ into a meaningful and powerful realm of spiritual discipline and obedience to the Word of God. New “disciples” must not only learn how to pray and to intimately read the Holy Bible, but must also learn “how” to put these newly taught spiritual skills into “real-life” practice.

+ How to gain by giving.
+ How to share their faith.
+ How to have a spiritual influence in the home.

Discipleship is at the very core of vibrant Christianity. Jesus had disciples–learners who applied His principles in such a way that the whole world was affected. Thus, new disciples must be given the necessary tools to better impact the lives of others.

So, what is Christian Discipleship? In this encouraging and enlightening video presentation, Christian Times Online’ Founder, Tony Marino, defines, outlines, and teaches the precepts of Jesus’ Great Commission and how important the role of the church must become to make the biggest worldwide impact for Christ and God’s gracious purposes for our lives. Let us continue to serve out of love and obedience to our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Becoming a life-member of God’s family is easy if only you believe and are willing to take a few small steps. Your life depends upon it!

In the Old Testament, God promised to send a Messiah or Savior to His people. The Messiah would save God’s people from their sin, from the wrong things everyone has done. The people in the Old Testament times knew about the promise of a Savior and looked for Him.

In the New Testament, God’s promise came true! The Savior was born in Bethlehem, just where God promised! Jesus Christ was born, grew up and died for our sins.

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Micah 5:2

God’s Word always comes true. You can always and should always put your trust in God’s faithfulness, for He made it possible for you to become a member of His family.

Here’s how:

Step One: God Loves You

The Bible says in 1 John 4:8 that “God is love.” He loves you very much. He loves you because He made you and He is concerned about you and your life today.

Step Two: You Have Sinned

The Bible also says that you and all other people have sinned. In Romans 3:23 we read, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

We have all done wrong and our sins keep us from being friends with God. As you read in the books of the Old Testament, sin always leads to trouble. Because you are a sinner, your sin will cause you much trouble in your life. Romans 6:23 tells us how bad this trouble will ultimately be. “For the wages of sin is death.”

God does not want people to ruin their lives with sin. It makes Him sad when you sin and spoil your happiness and the happiness of other people. Because of sin, people cannot enjoy God’s loving presence in their lives, nor can they live with God in heaven. Not one of us is able to remove sin from our lives or earn God’s forgiveness by even our very best efforts.

In the beginning of the Bible is the story of Adam and Eve, the first two people. Adam and Eve lived happily with God until they disobeyed Him. That was the first sin. One of the results of the sin was that Adam and Eve were separated from God, thereby robbing life of its greatest joy and ultimately bringing the penalty of death upon themselves. All of us sin, so someday each of us will die, too.

However, the Bible is clear that there is another life after we die. The Bible is also clear that sin will continue to separate people from God’s love forever. Because everybody has sinned, how does anybody get to go to heaven?

Step Three: God Paid the Price

The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” We have seen that the result of sin is death. However, because God loves us so much, He offers eternal life as a free gift. You cannot work hard enough to earn eternal life. All you can do is accept it as a gift.

God gave His only Son to die for you on the cross. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:3, “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.” Because Jesus was the perfect -man without sin- He accepted the results of sin-death-in your place. The Bible says in 1 John 4:14, “The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”

Step Four: Ask God for Forgiveness

If you admit that you have sinned and believe that God gave His only Son to die in your place, God will forgive you and make you clean from all sin.

Tell God that you know you are a sinner.

Tell God you believe Jesus Christ is your only way to have your sins forgiven.

Tell God you want to learn to love and follow Christ in every area of your life.

Tell Him that He is great and wonderful.

It is easy to talk to God. Jesus taught us to talk to Him as we would to a loving Father. He is always ready to listen. What you are going to tell Him is something He has been waiting for hear.

If you believe and have told God you believe, you are now a child of God! God has forgiven all your sin. You are a Christian. And that makes you a member of His family.

God has made everything right between you and Him. He has forgiven you and He looks upon you as if you had never sinned!

Step Five: Live as God’s Child

The Bible says in John 1:12, “But as many receive him, to them gave he the power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on his name.” As a child of God, you receive God’s gift of everlasting life. God is with you now and forever.

Now that you are a member of God’s family, God wants you to live as His child.

Because God is your heavenly Father, He wants you to talk to Him in prayer. You can tell God how you feel, thank Him for His gifts to you, and ask Him to help you obey and follow Him.

You can also talk to God when you sin. Ask God to forgive you and He will. The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God will forgive you and help you to do what He says.

You Can Read God’s Word

God gave His Word so that everyone can read about Him and His great love. Find out more about God by reading about Him in your Bible. The Bible says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psalm 119:11). As you read God’s Word, you will stay close to Him. It’s just like reading a letter again and again. You can do the same thing with your Bible.

You Can Obey God

Your heavenly Father wants you to obey Him. He tells you in His Word how you should live. Jesus summed up God’s law with two commandments (Matthew 22:37-40).

Love God with all that you are.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

God wants you to be an expression of His love in the world.

You Can Tell Others About Jesus

Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “Ye shall be witnesses.” Jesus was talking to His disciples before He went back to His Father. Even though Jesus was talking to His disciples, He was saying these words to you, too. You can be a witness when you tell others about Jesus and how His love has helped you. Ask God to give you opportunities each day to tell about-and to show-God’s love.

If you would like to share your personal testimonial, or if you have a special prayer request, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to add your testimony or prayer request below.

May almighty God bless you abundantly,

Keeping up with Joneses is often a task that leads to deep despair and feelings of personal failure. More importantly this chosen lifestyle keeps us away from God’s full measure of peace and glory. We must keep God first!

When we attempt to simply rely on our own brilliance to serve our own goals, we set ourselves up for a fall. We must learn precisely what God has planned for us and then put His plan into practice. Every step we take, every move we make should be under the authority and approval from God.

If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:28-31

We should expect that our children, friends, neighbors, and others we come in contact with, will watch our every move. How we respond to life’s situations does get noticed by others. We must always be fervent toward God’s Word (the Holy Bible) as to how we should behave. We must teach (lead) by our example. In order to perform at God’s best, we must remain aligned with His infallible Word. In others words, we must make time to read and pray upon God’s Word daily (or even moment-by-moment). This will evolve us into great leaders by rendering great Godly examples.

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 1 Corinthians 8:9

Our home is our heart. Let our heart (home) be the place to begin, so that we can more effectively go boldly into the world in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 28:31

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service. Twitter enables its users to send and read other users’ updates. These are referred to as tweets.

Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.

As the default a Tweet is delivered to everyone. You, as a sender can also restrict delivery to those in your particular inner circle of friends and colleagues. Users can send and receive updates via the Twitter website, SMS, RSS (receive only), or through applications such as Tweetie, HootSuite, Twhirl, and TweetDeck. The service is free to use over the web, but using SMS may incur phone services provider fees.

Some of the notable marketing benefits would be:

A greater range of people to talk to.

Increases traffic to your blog because of the links from Twitter.

Like most social media marketing, Twitter provides more of a drip feed than a flood, but it remains consistent and grows steadily.

Twitter doesn’t really take up very much time. Of all the networks it’s the easiest to maintain as it takes seconds to do what you need to do and even with all the replies, adding followers, etc.

Twitter provides one of the most instant responses.

Twitter can be used a good tracking application.

Twitter can be a solid communication medium during a live conference event.

Twitter can be a RSS feed reader to help you gather research.

Twitter can provide timely and unique news updates and information on a global scale.

As with any online marketing or social networking tool, how well you understand its function and how you may be able to take advantage of that function, will be up to you. I highly recommend you learn all you can about Twitter and decide if this unique Web 2.0 global networking application is right for you.
